The QTAC™ 85S is positioned in the middle of the QTAC product line, striking a great balance of water capacity, fire suppression power, and price. The 85S features an 85-gallon, welded-copolymer tank, max-73 GPM pump with a 2.1-horsepower Honda GHX50 engine, 50-feet of 3/4″ hose and, like all of the QTAC products, the ability to draft out of an auxiliary water source like a pool or creek. This is a highly capable piece of personal firefighting equipment.

Although the QTAC 85S has plenty of suppression power when needed, it can be readily choked down for extended mop-up work, especially with the standard brass bulls-eye nozzle and shut-off valve. This combination provides an excellent range of spray patterns, from a fine mist for controlling the edge of a prescribed burn, to an open-bore stream that can reach over 55-feet in length. With the optional high-out Viper nozzle on a 1-inch flat-lay hose, the 85S produces a water stream nearly 75 feet in length.
